With so many shades of gold, red, and orange on the Thanksgiving menu, I love the idea of putting together a lush, green arrangement to balance out the colors on the table. Add in candlelight and some beautiful glasses and plates and you’ve got the perfect setting for a memorable dinner with family and friends.
Yasmine Mei of Yasmine Floral Design put together this particular bouquet for us. As I mentioned last week, I love Yasmine’s whimsical use of strong materials. This arrangement, which uses artichokes, nigella, magnolia and viburnum leaves, and millet, looks great in a low, medium to large-size vessel that can hold the weight of the materials. Not only does it look striking, but you can put it together several days before Thanksgiving and it will still look fresh when your guests arrive. With so many last-minute preparations to worry about leading up to your gathering, this makes such a difference! XXJKE
