I already told you about my love for Brahms Mount linen towels, but they are an incredible company and definitely one worth spotlighting as a whole. Based in Maine, Brahms Mount has been crafting textiles both luxurious and grounded in tradition for nearly thirty years. Using specially engineered yarns spun from natural fibers, their fabrics are woven by skilled artisans on antique shuttle looms, creating a richness and quality designed to last through the years.
One of my most recent discoveries, and favorite new additions to my stores, are Mansur Gavriel gorgeous leather goods. Crafted in beautiful Italian vegetable-tanned leather, the collection is comprised of a variety of great pieces, and features interiors that are either raw or lined in wonderful bright colors.
Caroline in my office, whom by now you know is basically a resource for all things amazing, recently turned me on to Imogene and Willie and I was completely hooked. I immediately ordered their cream high-waisted jeans and have been living in them ever since.
We have a the most amazing Brazilian hammock in our back yard that it’s safe to say I am officially obsessed with. It is organic, feminine, and so incredibly comfortable and relaxing that even just looking at it makes me instantly happy
As we ease into summer, I wanted to share my picks for the season’s best moments in nautical knots. I adore this aesthetic – whether vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard or staying at home, you simply can’t go wrong!
One of my very favorite body oils, Santa Maria Novella Cosmetic Oil is the perfect after-shower treat. Moisturizing, without being too greasy, the packaging is lovely and the scent divine.
My French friend Ambre always knows all the cutest kids sites and stores, so when she told me that her friend Peggy North had just opened a great new kids store on Lincoln in Venice, I ran! Peggy, also a beautiful Parisian, now lives in Venice with her husband and two stunning sons, and has created a gem for all stylish mothers. Fire and Creme is a little slice of heaven located a block from General Store. In it, she carries all things chic for our little ones – from the most insane costumes for dress up, to adorable baskets that she personalizes herself, to amazing customized cow skulls and irresistable toys and décor.
Some of my friends with kids have already begun stocking up on great comforters and sleeping bags for all of the sleepovers that have started to become a regular occurence in their homes. My kids are a little young for sleepovers – so far it’s just been Tanner and his Godsister Franny – but I’m always on the lookout for cute things that we can use when time comes. Here are some of my favorites thus far:
I recently started carrying Los Poblanos products in both of my stores and this Lavender Salve is one of my favorites!
I first discovered Rachel Craven’s beautiful linens at Heath Ceramics in Los Angeles, and shortly thereafter my friend Lauren Soloff put us in touch. Rachel makes the most beautiful washed linen textiles that she then paints with interesting graphics and ethnic feeling designs. I love the quality of linen that she works with – the more you wash it, the softer and better it gets. My absolute favorites are her napkins, but everything that she makes is just amazing.
I’ve always loved and slept in white nightgowns. There is something feminine, vintage and clean about a beautiful white nightgown that I love. Whenever I see one, I buy it because they are few and far between. Now that Ripley has outgrown all her footed pajamas, I have traded them in for adorable nightgowns and don’t plan on looking back. I wanted to share a couple of my favorites with you.
I’ve always loved nude and think it’s the ultimate neutral. I love wearing nude with a great hot pink or orange-red lip, with Nars Schiap or Mac Lady Danger being two of my favorites. I wanted to share a few of what I think are the best nude moments for this coming spring.
My friends Eve and Leanne both have adorable puppies at home – Ringo and Lotti – and they kept asking me for suggestions when it came to outfitting their pets in style. Being a huge dog lover and appreciating all the small details in life, I wanted to share mine and Yoko’s favorite dog accessories with R+T.
Our house is getting ready for our annual ski trip to Alta and as always, I’m obsessed with finding all the best accessories for the kids to have fun in the snow. Here are a few of my favorites this winter.
