More than the beautiful gifts, festive décor, and fun traditions (like the gingerbread houses we made the day this photo was taken) I love this time of year because it allows us a chance to slow down and enjoy the company of the people we love. Every year my family and I celebrate the holidays in Lake Tahoe, where we connect with nature and each other through skiing, cooking, and cozy, quiet nights at home. It’s the perfect way to end the year and get ready for the new one to begin. I hope that you and your family have an opportunity to relax and reflect as well. Wishing you the warmest and merriest holiday season.
