These low-key winter months are always a great opportunity to edit your home to be more functional and beautiful before spring activities and social events begin. While some home items and come and go for me as the years pass on, I have certain staples that just speak to my style and have proven to be incredibly functional and versatile even as my lifestyle and dwellings may change. As a result, we carry many of these items in our stores year-round. Here are a few of them and what I think makes them special. I hope you find them as useful and beautiful as I do! XXJKE
L’Artisan Amber Ball – Anyone who has walked into my home or one of my stores will instantly recognize this golden amber fragrance. The fact that the scent is contained in a hand-carved terracotta ball that looks beautiful on a table or shelf is a bonus.
Homelosphy Blankets and Pillows – These are the softest and most beautiful minimal textiles that work in any space. I keep Homelosophy pillows in every room of my house—on couches, beds, and window seats—while the blankets are either draped over couches or beds or rolled up in baskets on the ground.
Auskin Sheepskin Throw – These plush sheepskin throws add warmth and texture to any room; I especially love them during the winter months. They look great as a rug, a throw blanket on a couch or bed, or tucked into a leather chair.
Mad et Len Candles –These candles are a recent addition to our stores and a new favorite for me at home. Hand-poured in hammered steel vessels which are treated with oil, they’re as much a piece of décor as they are a great scent. My current favorites are Graphite and Spirituelle.
Inter-American Trading Alpaca Bears – These alpaca fur teddy bears are the softest thing you will ever touch and are a beautiful and cozy accent for your child’s bed or playroom. They also make great birthday or baby shower gift!
Two’s Company Door Stopper – I have several of these door stoppers in my home and use them in the stores as well. Woven from jute with a braided loop handle that makes them easy to pick up, they are both beautiful and useful. A no-brainer!
