As I shared yesterday, I am thrilled to announce the arrival of Jenni Kayne + Pottery Barn Kids, available now online and in Pottery Barn Kids stores. Included in the special collection: furniture such as a play Teepee and Beanbag Chairs, beautifully crafted bedding including Embroidered Linen Quilts and Sheet Sets, whimsical decorative accessories like Pom-Pom Garlands, Glitter Letters and 3-dimensional Butterflies, and animal-inspired décor including Plush Animal Head Wall Mounts, Stork Patterned Wallpaper and Glowing Animal Motif Lamps. It was an incredibly rewarding collaborative process, and I simply couldn’t be happier with the end result.
To celebrate the launch, we co-hosted a wonderful get-together for the little ones, highlighting many of the pieces from the collection, and supporting a charity very close to my heart, Baby2Baby. For our venue, we chose a new favorite, Gracias Madre, who provided the perfect backdrop and delicious food and drink. And to help with creating a celebration worthy of the collaboration, we teamed up with the amazing Peggy North of Fire and Creme. The afternoon was such fun – the kids had a blast – and it was so great to be able to see our collection come to life (see all the details, below). XXJKE
An assortment of beautiful, rustic, natural elements that highlighted and complemented the collection.
Event Planning – Fire and Creme
Entry – Giant balloons with garland tassels flanked the entry, while a natural birch arch held collaboration signage, hand painted on canvas.
Florals – Bloom & Plume
Gorgeous arrangements on tables and throughout the space, featuring a soft color palette of white, peach, butter, pink and blue that perfectly complemented the collection. To achieve, Maurice incorporated chamomile, white solidago, poppies, blooming nigella, dinner plate dahlias, lisianthus, corn flower and delphinium into the floral displays.
THE ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
Festive elements for the little ones, focusing especially on the butterfly and animal elements from the collection.
Arts & Crafts – Animals from the collection were pre-drawn on card stock for kids to color. Once finished, they were provided with Pottery Barn Kids frames, so that they could take the artwork home and hang in their bedrooms.
Bean Bag Toss – Mini bean bags were decorated with the same fabric used for the Bean Bag Chairs in the collection.
Balloon Artist – Twist & Shout
Face Painter & Tattoo Artist – We Adorn You
