While we rarely see temperatures in Southern California that would accurately be described as cold, the weather lately has been decidedly cool – and I’m loving every minute of it. It’s the perfect excuse to wear those seasonal layers, and enjoy a comforting sip. This one from the lovely ladies of Sweet Laurel: simply perfect. Combining flavors of apple, orange, cinnamon, clove, and ginger, their Mulling Spices with Cider is a new holiday favorite, and one I’ll be sure to have on-hand for this year’s family trip to Tahoe. - Place apple juice in large pot along with remaining items in a cheesecloth and place in apple juice. Bring to gentle simmer. Remove the cheese cloth and pour into cups.
