Nashville is such a vibrant city with incredible music, beautifully rustic food, and lust-worthy denim and vintage as far as the eye can see. And between its deeply cool heritage as a music town, and its new reputation as a hotbed for creative folks and artists of all types, it’s in an especially good place to find new restaurants, bars, and shops opening every season. With that, here are a few Nashville spots I’m loving right now. Plan a weekend around a handful of these picks and you just might want to move there yourself! XXJKE
The 404 Hotel —Like the perfect AirBnb, this five-room boutique hotel is stylish and simple, with a dedicated on-site manager who attends to guest’s needs.
404 Kitchen — This 28-seat restaurant, part of the 404 Hotel, operates out of a shipping container. It serves modern European fare and boasts an impressive whiskey selection.
Rolf and Daughters — This seasonal New American restaurant has a warm, warehouse feel with large communal tables and high ceilings. It’s perfect for a group of friends.
Adeles — Located in a refurbished auto repair shop, this romantic restaurant from celebrated chef Jonathan Waxman serves a lighter take on Southern comfort food.
Little Octopus — For a healthy and light dinner try the bright and airy eatery, Little Octopus, which focuses on organic and vegetarian small plates.
City House — For a rustic Italian dinner (with a bit of Southern flair) try City House, which is located in a former artist’s studio in Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood.
Virago — This chic, modern spot is a go-to for gorgeous sushi and Asian fusion fare. Dine on the roof deck for views of the city’s bustling Gulch neighborhood.
Las Paletes — This must-visit dessert spot specializes in “paletas”; Mexican frozen pops made with anything from fruits and vegetables to nuts and grains.
Imogene and Willie —The original flagship from this cult-loved denim label is located in a restored gas station in a hip Nashville neighborhood called 12 South.
Wilder — This gallery-like boutique features an eclectic mix of objects for the home and bathroom including pottery, textiles, and natural beauty products.
Two Son — For casual, minimalist clothes with enough Americana flavor to still feel at home in Nashville, head to this boutique owned by two couples who each have two sons.
Steadfast — Known for their flash-chilled coffee and “rested” drinks, Steadfast is an early-morning go-to but you can also grab delicious snacks, cocktails, and wine in the afternoon and evening.
Barista Parlor — Like Steadfast, this thoughtful coffee shop has more than one location in Nashville, making it a no-brainer stop on any trip. In addition to the delicious espresso drinks, the large industrial spaces they occupy are laptop-friendly.
Pinewood Social — It wouldn’t be a weekend in Nashville without some great, all-American fun. This modern bowling alley also has two dipping pools, a full-service restaurant and a coffee shop inside.
Bluebird Cafe — This iconic club features up-and-comers and legends alike and is as intimate as it gets. Make reservations online up to a week in advance.
Big Bang — For a rowdy night out, see what’s on the lineup at this bar that hosts musicians, comedians, and dueling piano acts. Trust us: It’s a good time.
