Each year when the cooler temps start to roll in, I find myself yearning for food and drink that really embody the season – a sort of affirmation that fall is officially here. And the Persimmon Margarita, yet another inspired sip from Annie Campbell’s specialty cocktail program, does just that. Featuring tequila, persimmon and lime juices, and a thyme simple syrup, it conjures up feelings of all things autumnal – and delicious. XXJKE
- Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan on the stove. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and stir, dissolving sugar into the water. Throw in a handful of thyme and let cool. Can be refrigerated for up to a month.
- Combine persimmon juice, lime juice, thyme simple syrup and tequila in a pitcher and stir well. Let guests pour over ice and enjoy!! Garnish with thyme or limes, optional.
