Time after time, my talented friend Annie Campbell has been responsible for some of the most inspired and beautiful recipes in these pages. An incredibly creative chef and party planner, she has a passion for strong themes and loves to put a twist on tradition. Along with her husband, Greg Murnion, she runs Annie Campbell […]
When it comes to cocktails, I don’t often go for the sour. That said, this inspired sip from Annie Campbell and her husband Greg Murnion’s specialty cocktail program may have just changed all that. Featuring bourbon, blackberry syrup, lemon juice, maple syrup, bitters, and a sprig of pine for garnish, the Briar Patch Sour feels like the perfect cool […]
Each year when the cooler temps start to roll in, I find myself yearning for food and drink that really embody the season – a sort of affirmation that fall is officially here. And the Persimmon Margarita, yet another inspired sip from Annie Campbell’s specialty cocktail program, does just that. Featuring tequila, persimmon and lime juices, […]
Earlier this week, I shared all the details of our most recent get-together, including our rosemary-inspired menu and decor, but an evening such as this wouldn’t be complete without a delicious sip in the same vein. For such a request, I went straight to the lovely Annie Campbell and her husband Greg Murnion (whose specialty […]
Some of my favorite get-togethers for the little ones have been those that combined the talents of the amazing Annie Campbell and Amy Blessing (our Halloween cooking and carving party seen here). So with the spooky holiday just around the corner, I couldn’t resist teaming up with these lovely ladies once again. Per usual, they blew […]
As I shared yesterday, Annie Campbell’s bridal shower, fêting deal friend and fellow hostess Julianna, was all things romantic and feminine, with flowers galore. And the menu, inspired by the bride-to-be’s Southern roots, was equally amazing. Featuring end-of-summer California ingredients, with touches of Southern flavor and charm, it was a meal perfect for the occasion. […]
When the lovely and talented Annie Campbell hosts a get-together, you can count on an incredible menu, thoughtful (and often unexpected) details, and an overall wonderful event. So for something as special as a bridal shower for one of her dear friends (and fellow hostesses), the same of course held true – and then some. The intimate […]
Sundaes are typically desserts that feel geared toward the little ones, but this variation, dreamed up by the always-amazing Annie Campbell, is one I’d have a hard time not indulging in as well. As beautiful it is delicious, her Strawberry Sundae with Buttermilk Biscuits and Whipped Cream features layer after layer of irresistible components, topped off with […]
While every bit of the menu for Annie Campbell’s watermelon-themed get-together was amazing, one of the summer-perfect highlights was the Watermelon Lemonade Sorbet. Light, refreshing, and just the thing to finish a meal with a range of options too good to pass up, it’s a treat I’ll surely be making with the kids in the weeks ahead. […]
When you attend a get-together thrown by caterer and party-planner Annie Campbell, you can count on one thing (apart from easy, chic decor), and that is beyond-amazing food and drink. For her recent backyard get-together in celebration of National Watermelon Day (where she wore my plaid linen crop shell top), the same held true. Featuring […]
When it comes to get-togethers all at once wonderfully unfussy and expertly planned, one of my favorites is the lovely and talented Annie Campbell – and her recent party in celebration of National Watermelon Day highlighted all the reasons why. Featuring as-always amazing food and drink and chic and easy theme-perfect decor, it was a laid-back summer get-together […]
I can always count on Annie Campbell to create the most delicious and inventive sips, and the theme-perfect one that she provided for our Cherry Party was no exception. Her Cherry Margarita (she had me at Margarita, but sealed the deal with the addition of muddled farmers market cherries) was as pretty as it was […]
As I shared yesterday, the decor elements for Ripley’s princess-themed party were so great, and Annie Campbell’s menu for the day was the icing on the cake.
For her fourth birthday, all Ripley wanted was a princess-themed celebration, and how could I refuse. To put it all together, I enlisted the help of some of my favorite ladies, including decor and design from Fire and Creme, florals from Moon Canyon, thoughtful touches from Amy Blessing and delicious bites and dessert from Annie Campbell. The end result: a magical, modern take on the princess theme, and a day that Rip will not soon forget.
We’ve been on a bit of a citrus kick around here, and what better way to celebrate its beautiful flavors than with a get-together that did just that. For the next in our series on seasonal entertaining: a meal inspired by winter’s citrus, set against a backdrop of decor that highlighted the theme.
