As I shared yesterday, our laid-back lunch with Claire Thomas and The Little Market was such a treat. And while the decor elements were on the soft and subdued side, our menu was all about color. Featuring bright, flavorful and unexpected elements from the always-amazing Claire, the meal was as visually stunning as it was delicious. See […]
As I shared yesterday, when I discovered Lauren Conrad and Hanna Skvarla’s The Little Market, a beautiful and inspirational online marketplace featuring products handmade by skilled craftswomen around the world, I was instantly hooked. So when the amazing Claire Thomas, one of my go-to’s for unfussy yet sophisticated (and seriously delicious) food, offered to connect us for […]
Just one of the tasty tricks up her sleeve, the lovely Claire Thomas is an expert in dishes of the upside down variety. Yet another to add to the list: this Citrus Almond Olive Oil Upside Down Cake, which expertly pairs fruits and herbs for a dessert with just the right amount of sweet.
Over the last several months, I’ve featured Claire Thomas’ un-fussy yet sophisticated food on a regular basis, so when planning a Halloween party catered to the adults – complete with a festive and seasonal menu – I immediately thought of her.
I shared all the details of our spooky celebration for the little ones earlier this week, but we couldn’t go without a get-together for the adults as well. And while the menu and decor might not have been quite as literal as the kids’, there was just as much fun to be had and delicious food to be enjoyed.
I met Claire through Yayo Ahumada, one of the amazing photographers that we work with. A self-taught chef and unabashed food enthusiast, she is the host of Food For Thought With Claire Thomas and works as a nationally recognized commercial director, food photographer, and writer, using her wildly popular blog, The Kitchy Kitchen, as an “experimental playground.”
Yesterday, I featured Claire Thomas’ much-anticipated first cookbook. Today: a look at one of her favorite recipes found within, a Cherry Tomato Upside Down Tart.
We were lucky enough to enjoy Claire Thomas’ incredible vegan treats at our most recent cooking class and luncheon, but she also prepared some non-vegan desserts that were simply too good not to share. On the sweet menu: Braised Dried Apricot Mascarpone Bars, Brown Butter Doughnuts with Blackberry Glaze, and Rosewater Glazed Brown Butter Madeleines.
With Easter right around the corner, I thought it the perfect excuse to host yet another afternoon of great food and great company with The Chalkboard Mag. For this get-together, I was so excited to finally meet and team up with the amazing Claire Thomas of The Kitchy Kitchen for a delicious vegan lunch.
