Kristen Cassie of Moon Canyon is back with a January installment of our floral encyclopedia. This lush arrangement is comprised of early spring blooms arranged in a ceramic vase by Mt. Washington Pottery. The wabi-sabi aesthetic of the handmade vessel adds to the arrangement’s playful proportions. Earthy yellows, rich greens, and a touch of blue […]
My sister Saree is expecting her first baby towards the end of this year and I wanted to throw her a shower to celebrate this important moment in her life. Saree and I decided to invite friends and family of all ages and genders, and keep everything casual and easy. The gathering was held at […]
This beautiful bouquet from the talented Kristen Caissie of Moon Canyon is everything you want in a spring floral arrangement; an abundance of petals, feminine colors, and a delicately sweet fragrance. I love how the strong, sculptural leather Made Solid vase Kristen used brings the bouquet back down to earth while allowing the materials to twist and […]

I recently shared my love for Moon Canyon Design and the amazing work that they do. Needless to say, I was thrilled when Maurice connected me with the wonderful Kristen Caissie so that I could learn how to create that kind of magic on my own. I invited Ambre and Nicole over for our class on perfectly imperfect floral arrangements, and must say that I am still stunned at how beautifully they turned out. I asked Kristen to share the secrets and steps behind our gorgeous arrangements, and hope you enjoy!
I have long been a fan of the work of Kristen Caissie from Moon Canyon Design, so when my friend Maurice of Bloom & Plume connected us, I was thrilled. Moon Canyon specializes in flowers and styling, handcrafting beautiful, intimate details for gatherings of all types. But perhaps what they are becoming most recognized for, is their signature wreaths. Insanely gorgeous, they also smell heavenly, and can be used in the traditional sense or as a stunning centerpiece.
