As mentioned earlier this week, our Mother’s Day Tea with The Chalkboard Mag was a beautiful success. One of the key ingredients: the delectable menu from Valerie Gordon of Valerie Confections. We were fortunate enough to have enjoyed Valerie’s treats and instruction at our Valentine’s Day cooking class, and to have her provide the goodies for this special get-together was just as sweet.
With Mother’s Day right around the corner, it felt like the perfect opportunity for another afternoon of great food and company with The Chalkboard Mag. For this get-together: a Mother’s Day Tea with some of my favorite mamas and their little ones. We were so fortunate to again have one of my sweet favorites, Valerie Gordon of the otherworldly Valerie Confections, provided all of the small bites. Cocktails were provided by a new favorite, the impossibly dashing Pharmacie, and the decor and design elements were made possible by the beyond amazing ladies at Bash, Please.
For Valentine’s Day this year, instead of hosting a dinner, I thought it would be nice to have a small cooking class with a few girlfriends that was all about sweets. Once again, we teamed up with The Chalkboard Mag for the culinary fun, and for this occasion, we were fortunate enough to have Valerie Gordon of Valerie Confections show us how to make several of her delicious recipes.
