Barrett and I have been friends for several years now—if you read Rip & Tan regularly, you’ll recognize her name from the many recipe and entertaining posts we’ve featured her in! Barrett runs her own event planning, catering, and gifting company, called Valleybrink Road, which continues to grow and thrive by the day. While Barrett’s […]
Last week I co-hosted a Mother’s Day lunch in my home with my friend and frequent collaborator Suzanne Hall of Chalkboard Mag. Gifting guru Simone LeBlanc designed the romantic floral menus and place cards, Barrett Prendergast of Valleybrink Road put together beautiful bouquets of dusty green and deep maroon florals, and we set the table […]
My friend Barrett Prendergast of Valleybrink Road has worked with us on a lot of special meals and gatherings over the last couple of years but we wanted to go back to basics for today’s story. As a chef and gifting expert, Barrett has experience in all aspects of entertaining, so I thought she’d be […]
As I shared yesterday, our most recent get-together was all about rosemary – from the menu to the decor – and a perfect laid back evening with family and friends. For our meal, we were treated to a delicious spread from the lovely Barrett of Valleybrink Road, followed by an amazing dessert from a new all-natural favorite, […]
Some of my favorite get-togethers are the small and intimate, with understated yet thoughtful details that let the meal really shine. We recently had the pleasure of hosting one that was just that, this time with a menu and decor elements inspired entirely by rosemary. Featuring an incredible meal compliments of the amazing Barrett of […]
As I shared yesterday, our FEED Supper was such an amazing event, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our guests and our contributing vendors. Like all of our decor elements, the incredible food and drink were donated as well, and made an already great get-together a night to remember. Featuring an insanely delicious meal from Valleybrink […]
When I first learned about FEED, an organization founded by Lauren Bush Lauren whose mission is to create good products that help feed the world, I couldn’t help but be inspired – and get involved. Founded in 2007, this incredible organization has provided nearly 90 million meals to those in need through the sale of bags, apparel, and accessories, by […]
One of my favorite things about summer is the type of get-togethers it brings – easy, laid-back occasions with family and good friends. We recently had just this sort of afternoon, when my good friend Leanne (beautiful in my Grid Georgette Maxi) hosted the perfect backyard barbecue and pool party, complete with great food, great music, and some […]
Cinco de Mayo is always a great excuse for a party, but this year it was especially so. For the next in our Spring Entertaining series, we hosted what would be the last big get-together in our home (we’re moving!) and it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the space and our time there with […]
Sometimes straightforward really is best, and this simply delicious recipe from Barrett of Valleybrink Road is a great example. Featuring the perfect blend of garlic and herbs, vinegar and citrus, her Oven Roasted Fingerling Potatoes are no-fuss comfort food at its finest.
After a beautiful career, my sister Saree’s most beloved horse Saphi is retiring. Much to my delight –I have been riding Saphi for the last year and have fallen in love as well – she is passing him down to me. And because he is so loved, we wanted to celebrate him with a holiday retirement party worthy of such a special horse.
As I shared yesterday, our holiday get-together with The Chalkboard Mag was one characterized by wonderfully comforting food and decor. As always, the lovely Barrett from Valleybrink Road created a meal both memorable and delicious.
With the holidays in full swing, it felt the perfect time for yet another afternoon of great food and company with The Chalkboard Mag. For this installment: a festive and cozy holiday luncheon featuring equally comforting food and decor, courtesy of Valleybrink Road, Bash, Please and Moon Canyon Flowers.
I recently had the distinct pleasure of hosting a beautiful and inspirational evening in support of FEED and their mission to end world hunger. The dinner that accompanied our evening of coming together helped to make it all the more memorable, and came courtesy of the lovely and talented Barrett of Valleybrink Road.
I recently had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful dinner for an equally wonderful cause – an evening of coming together to help end world hunger, and in support of an organization working to do just that.
This amazingly delicious salad from Barrett at Valleybrink Road pairs some of my very favorite foods and flavors and does so brilliantly.
